Hibino has already completed two matches on these courts, finishing qualifying with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Nadiya Kichenok. The opposition was modest, but the bounce and ball flight are no longer questions for her. Her compact, early contact can also prevent Frech from settling into comfortable, repetitive exchanges.
Five games is the awkward number
